How do I view the results of an auction?

There are a few ways to see the sold prices on our website.

Catalog or Lot Views

Provided the auctioneer has chosen to publish their results (not all auctioneers will publish their results online) you will be able to see the results of an auction on the main catalog or on a lot itself. 

On the main catalog, you can view the sold price to the right of the lot title/description as shown below.

On the lot itself, you can view the sold price to the right of the lot image as shown below.

If the auctioneer has chosen not to publish the sale results of this auction the prices will not display. On the catalog view it will simply say 'Lot Closed' and on the lot view it will state 'Auctioneer has chosen not to publish the price of this lot'.

Note: If the results are not posted and you would like to obtain them for a specific auction or item, you will need to reach out to the auctioneer directly to see if they would be willing to release that information. 

In the bidding app

If you're watching an auction and you wish to know what the previous item sold for you, you can see the sold price in the lots list on the right hand side of the bidding app.

If the auctioneer has chosen to publish their auction results, the ribbons will display the prices as shown on the left below. If the auctioneer has opted to keep the results private, the ribbons will not display the prices as shown on the right below.

TIP: If the lots list keeps jumping back to the current lot being sold while you're searching you can un-check 'follow auction' to stop this from happening.

In your watch list

If you had an item in your Watch List and you want to know what it sold for, all you have to do is login and go to My Bidspotter, then click on ended Watch List items.

If the auctioneer has chosen to publish their auction results, the prices will display as shown on below. 

If the auctioneer has opted to keep the results private, the prices will display as shown on below.
