About Blocks
Auctioneers reserve the right to block a bidder from bidding with them through our system.
If you're blocked by an auctioneer, you won't be able to bid with them but you can still bid with other auctioneers on our website. The most common reason for a block is failure to pay for won items, however, the reason an auctioneer may choose to block a bidder from their auctions can vary.
We have made it so the auctioneer must choose from a list of pre-written reasons and they are separated into two tiers - a public or a private block.
- A public block can be seen by other auctioneers and usually related to non-payment.
- A private block cannot be seen by other auctioneers and usually relates to collection or private disputes.
How Do I Know If I've Been Blocked?
If you have been blocked from bidding by an auctioneer, you will receive an email from us telling you which auction house has blocked you.
Getting a Block Removed
If you wish to have a block removed, you will need to contact the auctioneer who has placed the block, and discuss the matter further. You can find their details under the 'Auctioneers' tab on our website, or in the email you receive notifying you of the block.
Disputing Blocks
If you are blocked by "Bidspotter North America" this is considered a 'Flag' to mark a bidder for not making payment on a won item.
If you would like to dispute the block, please email support@bidspotter.com.
Additionally, if you have paid for the items and believe to have been blocked incorrectly, please email support@bidspotter.com with an explanation of the situation as well as proof of payment.
